Description

This uplifting graphic novel focuses on the experiences of Marcus—a young man who has memory problems because of a virus impacting his brain—and Emily—a young woman with a tumour on her brain. A Slug Story is a short tale focused on the importance of kindness and friendship, particularly in the face of difficulties. The story is based on one of the writer’s own experiences with a medical crisis and contains some additional information about that element at the end. The writing is quite accessible, especially with the vividly coloured illustrations to support readers.
