- Description
Koller paints a distinctly prairie setting in Voices of the Land, a collection of four plays in which the relationship between humans and the environment takes on a key role. The plays range from stories about farmers pushing back against the pressures of capitalism to exploring the feelings of being in nature. Scenes could easily be performed in a school environment, as they require minimal props and most scripts have a small cast. While each play could be assigned on its own, the power of the story arc within each piece would be best experienced in context with the others, either by assigning different scenes to small groups, or by having them read aloud consecutively.
