Plants of the Western Forest is a comprehensive guide to the flora of the forests in Alberta and nearby provinces. Complete with colour photos and line drawings, this in-depth reference resource provides basic information about each plant, including edibility and uses by local Indigenous communities. The images may be of interest to younger science-focused readers; however the text is primarily meant for established readers. The entries can be used as a starting point for deeper biology research or simply to create food webs, showing how flora and fauna interact.
